We are currently seeking a BIM Coordinator with a minimum of one year of experience to join our Capistrano Beach or Auburn (Sacramento area), California office. This position offers great opportunity for growth as our BIM Coordinators naturally learn a great deal around medical equipment planning and often choose to grow into planning/drawing hybrid roles. The BIM Coordinator position requires an ability to read and understand architectural space programs as well as architectural drawings of all levels, from programming/schematic design to as-built construction documents. Candidates should also have proficiency in, or willingness to learn Revit/AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Attainia, Smartsheet and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong customer service skills and the ability to interface effectively with executive-level clients, project team members and other team members are also a requirement. This position entails occasional travel to project sites, satellite offices and client offices.
Ability to be on project sites is a requirement of this role. Our clients are healthcare providers who require proof of vaccination against Flu and COVID-19 to be allowed on-site. Therefore, a willingness to be vaccinated upon request is a requirement of all positions at Criterion.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop equipment placement drawings in Revit reflecting equipment specified in the medical equipment list
- Attend client and user group meetings (in-person and virtual) to update drawings in real time
- Update Revit families to align with project-specific details
- Build custom Revit families when existing families are unavailable
- Provide AutoCAD backgrounds to vendors for coordination of site-specific drawings
- Participate in QA/QC process involving reconciling the equipment list against the drawings
- Attend project site visits, as required
- Provide ongoing drawing coordination throughout the design and construction phases
- Attend industry events, such as conferences, seminars and trade shows, to network and stay informed on current and future products and technology
